Tyler Ray Olson, age 30, of Eagle, Michigan and a longtime former Sturgis resident, passed away late Friday evening, August 11, 2023 in Eagle due to injuries sustained in an automobile / moped accident.
He was born February 18, 1993 in Petoskey, Michigan son of Dale and Angela (Boden) Olson.
Tyler resided in Eagle for the past two years. Most of his life was spent in Sturgis where he was a graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 2012.
He had been employed at Taco Bell and Walmart in Sturgis, and was currently working at McDonald’s in Eagle.
Tyler will be forever remembered his for kind and thoughtful spirit to others and his great love for his family. He enjoyed anime, video gaming, and time with his friends and family. Tyler was always ready to give his grandpa Gary a hard time, and the two seemed to always be joking around. He was a hard worker and loved most anyone he met and always had a warm smile to share.
Tyler is survived by his parents: John and Angie Yoder of Sturgis and Dale and Debra Olson of East Jordan; his siblings: JR Yoder of Plainwell and Elijah Yoder of Sturgis, Hunter Argetsinger, Lindsey Argetsinger, Kevin Kinner, Chelsea Shuta and Misty Thompson all of East Jordan; grandparents: Gary and Cathy Boden, Joyce Yoder and Janet Olson and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: John Yoder and Harold G. Olson.
In accordance with family wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 26th at Firm Foundation Ministries, 651 E. Main St., Centreville, MI 49032 where a memorial service celebrating the life of Tyler Ray Olson will immediately follow the visitation at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Don Smith and the ministry team will officiate.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
