Kalamazoo airport expands flight options

Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport Director Craig Williams has announced expanded flight options on existing air carriers, as the airport works to regain air service to pre-pandemic levels.

With the newly announced flights, Williams said the airport will be at 65 percent of pre-pandemic levels for seats in October 2023, and at 85 percent of pre-pandemic levels for seats in March 2024.

American Airlines continues with three daily flights to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. Meanwhile, Avelo Airlines has released its schedule through April, with nonstop routes to Orlando’s International Airport. The Florida service is two times per week, but will increase to three times weekly during the holiday period and the spring break period from late-February through April.

Finally, Delta Airlines recently reintroduced two-class service with three daily flights to Detroit’s Metro Airport, Williams said.
