The city of Sturgis has hired Jamie Eymer as the new executive director at the Sturges-Young Center for the Arts.
Eymer joined the center as event coordinator in June 2022. She has experience in marketing, sales, hospitality and event rentals at SYCA. Eymer told the city she looks forward to filling the spaces at building with more rentals and SYCA-hosted events, particularly the upcoming performance series set to kick off in October.
Eymer graduated in 2013 from Manchester University in North Manchester, Ind., with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
Her previous work experience prior to coming to the Sturges-Young include event coordinating, hospitality and customer service. She replaces Sheila Bolda, who left the position in July after 4 1/2 years of service.
