Operational changes for Housing Assessment Resource Agency

Neighborhoods Inc. of Battle Creek is taking over operations of the St. Joseph County Housing Assessment Resource Agency.

Previously operating out of Keystone Place in Centreville, the St. Joseph County HARA will be located in Neighborhoods Inc.’s satellite office in the Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County office building, on West Main Street in Centreville.

The takeover is a measure to alleviate the burden on Keystone staff, as Keystone focuses its services on providing shelter to those currently experiencing homelessness.

Under Neighborhoods Inc. of Battle Creek, the Housing Assessment Resource Agency of St. Joseph County will provide a centralized intake and housing assessment, providing community-wide and comprehensive assistance through rapid rehousing and homelessness prevention services.
