Tommy Lynn Stokes, age 74, of Three Rivers, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at his home in Three Rivers.
He was born in Searcy, Arkansas on December 26, 1948 the son of Raymond Dee and Fairah Eileen (Phifer) Stokes, and graduated from Three Rivers High School with the class of 1966.
Tommy was a dedicated machinist at Armstrong International for over 20 years until retirement.
On November 28, 1970, he married Linda Bellew. They had three children, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and the Eagles.
Tommy was a good friend to many and could always make you laugh. He had a love for music, hunting, fishing, the Detroit Lions, and Ford Rangers. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family, who affectionately call him “Pepa.”
Surviving to cherish his loving memory is wife, Linda Stokes of Three Rivers; daughters, Joni Shank of Three Rivers, Rae’Ande (Tom) Bawkey of Three Rivers; grandchildren, Lucas Shank, Linda (Matt) Brofft, Jacob Shank, Gracie Shank, Sidney (Micah) Stokes, Carter Bawkey, and Jarred Stokes; great-grandchildren, Laetyn Clark, Clementine Stokes, and Juniper Stokes; sister, Patricia (Mike) Dailey of Three Rivers; brothers, Richard (Bettie) Kilburn of White Pigeon and Donald (Judy) Kilburn of Portage; and many nieces and nephews.
Tommy was preceded in passing by his parents and son, Tommy Allen Stokes.
In accordance with family wishes cremation will be conducted and a memorial service to celebrate Tommy’s life will be held at noon on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 with visitation one hour prior at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers.
Memorial donations may be directed to the family. Envelopes are available at Hohner Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
