Becky Jo Hartman, age 57, of Three Rivers, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Optalis Health and Rehab.
She was born November 12, 1966 in Three Rivers, the daughter of William C. and Carol E. (Fox) Hartman. She started her education at Ruth Hoppin Elementary School and graduated from Three Rivers High School with Class of 1985.
Becky was employed for many years at Champco of Kalamazoo. She later went on to work at Concept Molds of Schoolcraft, and Three Rivers Commercial-News. Lastly, she worked at St. Joseph County Intermediate School District when her health began to decline.
Becky will be remembered by her warm smile and hearty laugh. She had a zest for life that was shown to all of her friends and family. She loved to socialize and make people feel special. Even though she didn’t see her friends as often as she liked, they always held a special place in her heart with lots of great memories that she always talked about. She enjoyed her yard, planting flowers every spring, and cooking for her family. She loved to get together with family and friends, and most of all, she cherished her time spent with her grandson, Flynn.
Remembering Becky’s smile and love are her daughter, Shelby Jo Hartman and grandson Flynn of Kalamazoo; father, William C. Hartman of Marcellus; sisters, Ronni Hartman of Battle Creek and Michelle Coop of Three Rivers; niece, Keagan Coop of Berkley, MI; nephew, Travis Coop of Augusta, MI; the love of her life, James “Jimmy” Wyngarden of Three Rivers and his children Cameron Wyngarden and Marissa Edwards. Also survived by many relatives, friends, acquaintances, and the many people who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol E. (Fox) Hartman, grandparents, William F. and Margaret Hartman and Orlo B. and Dorothy Fox.
In accordance with Becky’s wishes cremation has been conducted and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
