Floyd Parker, 32

Floyd Ronald Parker, age 32, of Portage, MI passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 25th, 2023 in his home in Portage.

Floyd was born on December 14th, 1991 in South Bend. Floyd enjoyed working with cars and construction, and anything physical where he could help someone if possible, despite difficulties after his motorcycle accident in June 2020. He loved animals, namely his Mom’s dogs Edward, Minnie, Bella, Pudgy, Nessie, Gretchen, and SusieQ, and cat Tangerine that he would frequently visit.

Floyd is survived by parents Michael Parker Jr. of Sturgis & Nancy Born of Portage, girlfriend Sheyenne Melchi of Kokomo IN, brothers Eric (Caitlin) Parker of Lawrence, Adam Parker of Sturgis, & Aaron (Hannah) Hassinger of Vicksburg, sister Brittney (Kevin) Born of Paw Paw, grandparents Mary (Michael) Parker of White Pigeon, aunt Heidi (Gabe) Macias of Paw Paw, aunt Linda (Eric) Carr of Sturgis, nieces Zoey Parker & Mia Hassinger, nephew Miles Hassinger, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his stepmother Rhonda Parker of Sturgis in 2022, stepfather Troy Born of Portage in 2023, grandmother Mary Rice of Centreville in 2010, and grandfather Emmett Hodge of Jackson.

A memorial service to honor Floyd’s life will be held as follows:
