Colon forms marijuana ordinance committee

Colon Village Council is looking for a member of the general public to join a committee formed to look into creating an ordinance regulating a marijuana facility in town.

Council member Dillon Baker said the point of this committee is to draft documents to define everything to do with a such a facility. He said the village currently does not have an ordinance related to marijuana facilities, though the council could vote on one later.

Any village resident is urged to contact Baker, Tamara Sterlini, Keith Stickley or the village office.

Baker said input on the matter is welcome, too.

The issue is likely to be discussed at the council’s March meeting, Baker said.
