Bertram G. Myers, age 85, of Sturgis, passed away Monday evening, March 4, 2024 at Optalis Health and Rehab in Three Rivers.
He was born March 14, 1938 in Ohio, son of the late Kella and Alma (Scull) Myers.
Bertram resided most of his life in Sturgis.
He was a member of the Sturgis Evangelical Church and Eagles Lodge #1314. Bert was a very active and dedicated member of Knights of Pythias, Phoenix Lodge #171 in Sturgis and was a past State Grand Chancellor. He enjoyed movies, playing poker, and hunting and fishing. Bert had hobbies and interests, but what he truly loved was spending time with his family.
He is survived by his daughters: LaVerne (Todd) Giggy of Grand Rapids and Debra (Brian) Farber of Mesick; grandchildren: Ashley Giggy of Grand Rapids and Charles (Kris) Farber of Springfield, Illinois; great granddaughter: Elizabeth Farber; brother: John (Barbara) Myers of Kentucky and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son: Bertram Myers, Jr.; daughter: Elana Rae Myers and several brothers and sisters.
In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00, Tuesday, March 12th at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St. in Sturgis where a memorial service celebrating the life of Bertram G. Myers will immediately follow the visitation at 2:00. The Rev. Rodger Moyer will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Sturgis Memorial Gardens.
