Four people were injured in a two-vehicle crash last weekend in Cass County’s Milton Township.
Sheriff Richard Behnke said deputies were called shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday to Gumwood Road and East Bertrand Road.
Investigators said Marshall Smith of Sauk Village, Ill., was driving south on Gumwood Road and his vehicle crossed the center line. It struck a northbound car head-on. It was driven by Jess Gose, of Mishawaka, Ind.
Smith was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital; Gose and passengers, DanYelle Watkins and a juvenile, both of Mishawaka, were also taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital.
