Doris Tulla, 67

Doris Ann Tulla, age 67, of Three Rivers, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024 at her son’s home in Bronson surrounded by her loving family.

She was born September 26, 1956 in Sturgis, the daughter of Clifford and Betty (Bauder) Stevens, and graduated from Sturgis High School in 1974.

Doris worked in maintenance at Dometic for many years. Work was very important to her. She made friends with everyone. Once retired she would often mention that she wanted a part-time job just to talk to new people. She loved people.

On September 14, 1996, she married George Tulla. They enjoyed fishing, boat rides, camping, rides on their Harley, drag racing, and drives to the lake. Together they enjoyed each other’s company in nature.

Doris loved to craft. Garage sailing was one of her favorite hobbies.

She touched the lives of all she came in contact with. She had a way of always making others feel special. She had the kindest soul. She truly loved the Lord and that shined through her.

Remaining to cherish her memory are her husband, George Tulla; sons, Justin (Kayla) Lundstrum, Thor Tulla, Craig Tulla, and Jason Tulla; grandchildren: Bryce Lundstrum, Braydon Lundstrum, Oliver Lundstrum, Tye Potter, Devin Tulla, Macie Tulla, and Johnny Tulla; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Sherri Stevens, Paula (Paul) Pierucki, and Robin (Danny) Wiatt; nephews and nieces: Wesley Stevens, Summer Stevens, Shane Nelson, Micheal Arbogast, and Charity Arbogast.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty; father, Clifford; and sister, Vicki.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 22, 2024 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A funeral service will follow at noon at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Barter officiating. She will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.

Donations in Doris’ memory may be directed to her family in care of George Tulla or Justin Lundstrum.

  1. Sad days for George and his family. I had the chance to meet Dori at our TRHS 50th high school reunion and I was struck by her pleasant smile and fun nature. I am sure she will be missed by all.
