Kathryn L. “Kate” Monahan, age 64, of Fish Lake, Sturgis, passed away Friday morning, May 17, 2024, at her home.
She was born September 8, 1959 in Sturgis, daughter of the late Lucille “Tootie” (Emboden) Scott.
Kate lived her entire life on Fish Lake in Sturgis and was a graduate of Centreville High School with the class of 1977.
On June 13, 1981, she married Daniel Monahan at St Joseph Catholic Church in White Pigeon.
For many years she worked at Sturgis Overhead Doors for former owners, Hank Hendrick and Gary Sturgis.
Kate enjoyed sunbathing and had a never-ending love for her Golden Retrievers.
She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 43 years: Daniel; her son Daniel Monahan, Jr. of Three Rivers and many nieces and nephews.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.

Kate worked for me a number of years at Harding’s and was always full of life and was always good for a good laugh. She was always a hard worker. I am so very sorry for your loss of this fantastic lady.
