Sharon Lee Pedersen, age 77, passed away July 28, 2024 in Three Rivers.
Her parents, Darrel A. Farrer and Janeth A. (Dehn) Farrer, welcomed her on December 27, 1946 at Three Rivers Hospital. The family lived in Kalamazoo, and she graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1965. Soon after she took flying lessons to become a pontoon plane pilot. She continued with her love of aviation by joining the Civil Air Patrol and reaching the rank of lieutenant. She also worked for a time at the Three Rivers Airport.
In later years she was office manager at Pryor Heating & Air Conditioning in Three Rivers where she worked with her husband of 28 years, John Pedersen. Together they enjoyed Rendezvous at Memory Isle Park in Three Rivers and many other locations. Knitting and sewing were two pastimes Sharon enjoyed very much which led her to open Sharon’s Knitting Nook in downtown Three Rivers.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Surviving are her sisters Constance J. (Lou) Curio and Melissa S. Farrer of Three Rivers. And one brother, Michael D. (Sherri) Farrer of Traverse City. And several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
Donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Three Rivers and the Three Rivers Airport or family.
