Susan Colleen Bartman, age 69, of Sturgis, passed away early Sunday morning, August 25, 2024, at her home.
She was born September 14, 1954, in Jackson, Michigan, daughter of William and Beverly Jean (Drake) Marrion.
Susan resided in Sturgis since 2021 coming from Jackson. She was a graduate of Michigan Center High School with the class of 1972 and furthered her education at Jackson Community College.
Sue started her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She then worked in home interiors, owned and operated Molly Maid in Jackson, and later moving into franchise consulting. She also owned and operated Kidz Art and Club Scientific, and after-school kids program.
Susan was a member of First Church of Nazarene in Jackson and Crossroads Church in Goshen, Indiana, 4-H and various B.N.I groups. She enjoyed art, making stained glass, gardening, but most of all loved time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her mother: Beverly Jean Marrion of Jackson; children: Jamie (Mark) Mykala of Bristol, Indiana, Kylie (Mike) Mason of Scarborough, Maine, Jodi (Aaron) Bomia of East Lansing and Brian (Bekah) Bartman of Interlochen; grandchildren: Avery Mason, Elaina and Emmy Martinez and Parker and Quinn Mykala; brother Mark Marrion of Ypsilanti; sister-in-law: Debbie Carter of Jackson and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her father and brother: Dave Marrion.
In honoring Susan’s wishes cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate and honor the life of Susan Colleen Bartman will take place at a later date.
