Wayne Allen Wagner, age 67, of Sturgis, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Thurston Woods Village.
He was born April 13, 1957 in Sturgis, a son to the late Raymond Paul and Kathleen Wagner.
Wayne had been employed at ARCH Workshop and retired from Precision Speed where he had worked for several years.
Wayne enjoyed going bowling, he loved to eat and would eat anything that was put in front of him, sometimes 2 helpings, he enjoyed the day program at ADAPT, he enjoyed being around animals and children, he participated in the special Olympics at Thurston woods and won a few medals, and he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his wife, his extended family, and will be missed by all who knew him.
On Aug. 15, 2000, he married Jane Keller who survives along with a sister: Mary Beth, a brother: Michael Wagner, two sister-in-laws: Sarah Mercer, Judy (Dave) Crouse, a brother-in-law: Arthur (Connie) Keller, his adopted family at his AFC home, and special friends and caregiver: Kelly (Sonny) Massey.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law: Carol Keller.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 1:00 to 2:00 on Tuesday, at the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Rd., Sturgis, MI 49091.
Services celebrating the life of Wayne A. Wagner will be held at 2:00, immediately following the visitation, at the funeral home with Rev. Rodger Moyer, officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeside Cemetery in Colon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Day Program at ADAPT, 907 Clay St., Sturgis, MI 49091. Envelopes are available at the Hackman Family Funeral Homes who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
