Fair celebrates veterans today

The 2024 St. Joseph County Grange Fair is winding down, as the 173rd event wraps up this weekend.

Today is “Veterans Day” and Saturday is “FFA & Ag Education Day.” The fair will remain open for an eighth consecutive day Sunday, which is being observed as “Celebration Day.”

Grandstand entertainment tonight and Saturday is NTPA Regional National Modified Truck & Tractor Pulls.

Meanwhile, Sunday’s so-called bonus day starts at 1 p.m., and midway rides and games, and some food vendors will be open. At dusk, country/western performer Dewayne Spaw puts on a free concert in the grandstand. This year’s fair will conclude with a fireworks display after Spaw’s performance.
