Behavioral-health urgent care center opens

Pivotal, formerly Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services of St. Joseph County, recently opened a behavioral-health urgent care center.

Called “Turning Point,” it is St. Joseph County’s first and only urgent care / walk-in clinic for children and adult behavioral-health services. Turning Point offers immediate access to wellness resources and vital community partners five days a week, without the wait or cost of emergency room care.

Anyone experiencing a crisis related to mental health or intellectual/developmental disabilities is welcome to Turning Point from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays.

It is located at 677 E. Main St., in Centreville.

  1. So someone there will tell the person in crisis that there is really nothing avaikable except very limited ER evaluation. Whoop!

  2. Wonderful news about the new behavioral health center. It’s great to see more support for our community. Thanks for the update.
