Arby’s makes donation to Animal Control

Three Rivers Arby’s recently made its third donation of the year to St. Joseph County Animal Control.

Following a donation of $2,000 in March and another, in excess of $1,700, in June, the restaurant earlier this month turned over more than $1,800 to the Centreville-based agency.

St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Cpt. TJ Baker said as the restaurant did prior to its earlier check presentations, Three Rivers Arby’s accepted cash donations and money from customers who opted to round-up the cost of their order to the nearest dollar.

Over the eight-week period of the latest campaign, the effort raised $1,820.

Baker said the funds will be placed in an account designated strictly for Animal Control. The previous donation was added to the same account, he said.

Arby’s has agreed to continue its fundraiser for St. Joseph County Animal Control. The latest campaign is expected to last through the end of the year.
