United Way’s “Grinching Time” still accepting donations

St. Joseph County United Way is nearing the end of its annual holiday promotion known as “Grinching Time.”

Agency officials described “Grinching” as the act of eagerly giving to those in need. The focus is on low-income families, especially those with children who may not otherwise receive Christmas presents this year.

United Way officials have set a goal of collecting enough gifts to donate to 150 homes later this month. Anyone willing to help meet the goal can drop off items at the United Way’s Centreville office, 662 E. Main St.

Monetary donations are also accepted.

More information and an update on the drive can be found on the agency’s Facebook page.
