Constantine man arrested following police chase

A Constantine man was arrested in Cass County earlier this week after leading authorities on a pursuit that originated in St. Joseph County.

According to a media release from St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department, deputies attempted to stop a vehicle on Hebron Road, near North River Road, around 1 a.m. Monday in Mottville Township.

The 37-year-old driver continued westbound into Cass County, where his vehicle eventually crashed into a tree on Birch Road, near Chappel Hill Street.

The suspect, whose name was not released pending arraignment, faces charges of fleeing and eluding, driving on a suspended license, and felony and misdemeanor warrants.
