St. Joseph County Commissioner Luis Rosado is hosting an event centering on parliamentary-procedure training.
Rosado said the session will be led by Julie Pioch, of Michigan State University Extension.
The event is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 25 at the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department Training Center. There is no cost to attend, though Rosado asks for potential participants to RSVP.
He said the session is ideal for elected officials as well as members of the public interested in understanding meeting protocol and decorum.
Confirmation can be done by phoning 269-689-7849, or by email at: luis.rosado1981@gmail.com.
Anyone interested in how government meetings function should attend Julie Pioch’s class. She’s a knowledgable presenter and teacher. She welcomes questions and discussion. Unless you’re a certified parliamentarian, you’ll learn something more than you anticipated. And it’s free!
