Teens arrested following chase

Two juveniles were arrested after leading authorities on a pursuit, in which the teens were driving an allegedly stolen car over the weekend in Cass County’s Mason Township.

Cass County Sheriff’s Department deputies were notified around 1 a.m. Saturday of a stolen vehicle from an undisclosed location.

Authorities spotted the vehicle on Kristy Lane in Mason Township. However, the suspects fled the scene in a second allegedly stolen vehicle, deputies said.

The pursuit entered Elkhart County, where the suspects exited the vehicle and continued to run on foot before deputies took them into custody.

Deputies said a gun and other allegedly stolen property were recovered.
