Connie K. Addis, age 79, of Colon, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Birch Adult Foster Care in Leonidas.
Connie was born May 6, 1946 in Colon, a daughter to the late Guy G. and Maxine M. (Hammond) Tefft.
She had made her home in Colon all her life, graduating from Colon High School with the class of 1964.
On May 16, 1981, she married Mitchell E. Addis in Colon.
Connie had worked for Sturgis Hospital in Environmental Services for 28 years, retiring in 2006. Early in life she had worked at Bisel’s in Colon.
Connie had attended both the Leonidas Bible Church and the Crossroads Bible Church in Sherwood. She enjoyed being outside with her flowers, loved time spent with her family, quilting, and making dresses for operation Christmas Child.
She is survived by her husband Mitchell of Colon, sister-in-law Doris Tefft of Leonidas, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Louis and Lester Tefft, and an infant brother Eddie Ray Tefft.
A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Connie K. Addis will be held Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. from the Crossroads Bible Church in Sherwood with Pastor Curt Bennet and Pastor Trent Hammond officiating.
In lieu of the family ask memorials be made in memory of Connie to either the Leonidas Bible Church or the Crossroads Bible Church, envelopes will be available at the church or the Schipper Funeral Home LTD in Colon.
Burial of ashes will follow in Sherwood Cemetery.
