County commission makes appointments

A number appointments were made by St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners during their monthly meeting Tuesday.

Five people were named to the Workforce Development Board for Michigan Works Southwest. Karen Marcath is a new appointee and will serve a term that expires Sept. 30, 2026. Ross Daniels is also new to the board. His term will run through September 2027.

Meanwhile, three people were re-appointed: Jessice Eyster, Alan Ives and Jared Hoffmaster. Their terms also expire in September 2027.

Richard Anderson will complete a partial term on the county’s Planning Commission. Anderson will step into a vacated seat and serve through the end of the year.

Finally, John Bippus will complete a six-year term currently in progress on the St. Joseph County Road Commission Board. It concludes Dec. 31, 2026.
