Beatrice Lynn Jones-Taylor, age 36, gained her wings on August 15, 2025. Born on March 29, 1989 in Denver, Colorado, she was the daughter of the late Terry Jones and Gloria Jones (McNeal). She graduated with her high school diploma in 2007 from Emily Griffith, and recently started school at Glen Oaks Community College this past summer to obtain her Associates Degree in Business Management. Although she was only there for one term she excelled in that term to maintain an A average.
Beatrice married Daniel Taylor Jr. in 2007, and they had two children Dontrel and Breajana. Although her and their father split, they still worked hard to give their children a happy home.
Beatrice recently just had a promotion at her job and became a medical transport driver. She also had a daycare business license and was trying to buy a building to start her business. She enjoyed drawing, traveling, and spending time with the people she loved.
Beatrice’s memory will be carried forward by her children, Dontrel and Breajana, her mother, Gloria, and her many beloved godchildren. She will be remembered for her boundless love, her faith, and the joy she brought into the lives of others.
Her children are so proud to say she recently turned to God fully and even started attending church with them. They are happy to know no matter what kind of day she was having and no matter how hard it was for her to get through sometimes, she always believed that every day was a gift from God and lived everyday as if it was.
The wake/visiting hour will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Firm Foundation Ministries, 651 E. Main St., Centreville. The memorial service will follow at noon with Pastor Jamey Smith officiating.
Donations in Beatrice’s memory may be directed to St. Joseph County United Way c/o Beatrice Jones-Taylor Family Catastrophic Fund, PO Box 577, Centreville, MI 49032.
Arrangements by Hohner Funeral Home.
