Gary Lloyd Jones, age 75, of Three Rivers, went to be with his Lord, our Savior, Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at his home with his loving wife, Michelle, by his side.
He was born on November 9, 1949 in Russellville, Alabama, the son of Henry L. and Dorothy N. Jones.
Gary graduated from Highland High School with the Class of 1967. He then attended the Indiana College of Commerce studying business administration and also attended Purdue University.
He proudly served his country in the Army Reserves, attaining the rank of Specialist.
Gary worked for 46 years in the family business started by his father, Maintenance Products Inc. & First Chain Supply alongside his brother, Randy, and sister, Glenda, managing the distributorship and overseeing marketing.
Gary was passionate about performing in community theater and murder mystery productions throughout his life. While participating in performing murder mysteries, he met fellow actress Michelle Verdeyen. Gary brought so much light and love into Michelle’s life, and they were married in 2007. Their relationship was a beautiful, unbreakable bond which was evident to everyone that had the privilege to know them. After retirement, Gary and Michelle moved to Three Rivers, where they enjoyed many wonderful years together at their home on the St. Joseph River. Gary and Michelle were enthusiastic hosts sharing countless days with family and friends at their home enjoying family dinners, campfires, and boat rides with Grandpa Gary at the helm along with his beloved grandchildren.
Gary enjoyed playing guitar for his church praise and worship services, golfing, his cherished dogs Jackson and Ricky Bobby, fishing, along with buying, selling, and restoring vintage cast iron. He was very involved at Moorepark Community Church where he and Michelle participated in the worship team, served as deacons, and directed Christmas plays. He was always so welcoming to everyone at church, always spreading God’s love and light in everything he did.
Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife, Michelle Jones; sons, Matthew (Kathy) Jones and Jeffrey M. (Melissa) Jones; daughters, Sarah (Brian) Enlow, Amanda (Glenn) Gulley, Mallory Ladd, and Kelly (Scott) Kiedrowski; brother, David R. Jones; sisters, Glenda (Fred) Faitak and Allyson (Bruce) Brim; and his 10 grandchildren, Kyle, Austin, Alivia, Alexis, Addison, Henry, Kyla, Evvie, Landon, and Alaina.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Melinda Kaye Pinkerton.
His family will receive friends on September 8, 2025, at 9:00 AM at Moorepark Community Church, 55701 Wilbur Rd., Three Rivers. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at the church. Pastor Bud Granger will officiate.
Donations in Gary’s memory may be directed to the Moorepark Community Church Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at the church and the Hohner Funeral Home.
