A clerk at the Admiral gas station in Sturgis was robbed Monday morning. Sturgis police said the suspect entered the store, located at 1207 E. Chicago Road, during the early morning hours and displayed a handgun. The clerk complied with the man’s request for money from the store’s cash register. He left the scene in an unknown direction. Pursuit of stolen car ends in arrest

A 21-year-old Three Rivers man was arrested in Elkhart County after allegedly stealing a car from the Three Rivers Meijer. The theft occurred shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday. Three Rivers and Constantine officers pursued the vehicle on U.S. 131, before the suspect crossed into Indiana. A Shipshewana man was arrested following a traffic stop Thursday in White Pigeon Township. State police said troopers stopped a 1991 Camaro on Lake Street, near South Kalamazoo Street, for failing to signal before turning. County unemployment down

The November unemployment rate in St. Joseph County decreased by two-tenths of a percent compared to a month earlier.
