Cassopolis Schools adds electric buses

Cassopolis Public Schools recently added a trio of electric buses to its fleet. Superintendent John Ritzler said the purchase was made thanks to nearly $1.2 million from the Environmental Protection Agency. St. Joseph County has nearly $40,000 to offer anyone in need of home improvements, and finance director Angie Steinman said there are circumstances under which repayment is not necessary. Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Three Rivers celebrated a milestone over the weekend. Its 75th anniversary was observed Sunday with fanfare and an all-class reunion. Three people were arrested for probation violations following a parole-and-probation compliance check last week in Three Rivers. Police Chief Scott Boling said officials from Michigan Department of Corrections and Michigan State Police Southwest Enforcement joined forces Thursday to conduct the operation.
