State police are investigating a stolen boat motor last week in Mendon Township. The outboard motor was attached to a fishing boat for sale and parked at the entrance to Kline’s Resort in the 51000 block of Silver Street. Investigators said the victim indicated the theft occurred between Wednesday and Friday.

A riding lawnmower was stolen last week from a residence in Branch County’s Matteson Township. State police said the John Deere mower had a 48-inch cutting deck and appears to have been pushed onto a trailer in the 200 block of North Matteson Lake Road.
