A 21-year-old Three Rivers man was arrested in Elkhart County after allegedly stealing a car from the Three Rivers Meijer. The theft occurred shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday. Three Rivers and Constantine officers pursued the vehicle on U.S. 131, before the suspect crossed into Indiana. A Shipshewana man was arrested following a traffic stop Thursday in White Pigeon Township. State police said troopers stopped a 1991 Camaro on Lake Street, near South Kalamazoo Street, for failing to signal before turning. The November unemployment rate in St. Joseph County decreased by two-tenths of a percent compared to a month earlier. The monthly labor-market analysis by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget showed St. Joseph County’s 3.5 percent November unemployment rate was less than October’s 3.7 percent. The St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners this week approved resolutions centering on funding it will provide two agencies.
