A commercial power washer was stolen from a vehicle last week in Nottawa Township. State police said the incident occurred between 6:30 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday in the 25000 block of M-86. The Mi-T-M power washer was taken from a work van.

A 19-year-old Three Rivers man was involved in a single-vehicle accident late last week in Constantine Township. West Nile virus confirmed in St. Joseph County

The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency wishes to inform the public that a horse in St. Joseph County has tested positive for West Nile Virus. The agency was notified after the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services confirmed the condition. The equine is one of 13 in the state to test positive for the mosquito-borne disease.
