A request for an additional one-quarter of a mill by St. Joseph County 911 Central Dispatch passed Tuesday. Unofficial totals reported by the St. Joseph County Clerk’s Office showed 1,364 votes in favor of the seven-year request and 1,323 opposed, with all 20 precincts reporting. Natural Resources Trust Fund bill goes to state House

County commission approves correction grant application

A grant application for St. Joseph County’s Community Corrections was approved by commissioners Tuesday. The grant seeks nearly $175,000 from the Michigan Department of Corrections. STDs on the rise

Cases of chlamydia and other sexually-transmitted diseases are rising in the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph County area, according to 2016 data.
