A detached workshop was destroyed by fire shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday in Burr Oak Township. Burr Oak Fire Chief Rich Ultz said the workshop at 30144 Kelly Road was engulfed in flames. Woman charged with drug offenses

A 41-year-old woman from Climax was charged with drug-related offenses following a traffic stop last week in Fabius Township. The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department said the woman was stopped for speeding.
