Members of the Centreville Village Council voted recently to raise monthly water rates. A fixed-fee increase of $3.18 plus another $1.55 per 1,000 gallons used. A man who police say broke into a southern Michigan apartment and attacked his ex-girlfriend with a sword is expected to get a mental health exam.
