A Sturgis woman was killed in a 1-car crash Friday morning on M-60 in Branch County’s Sherwood Township. The victim was identified as 21-year-old Natasha Richardson. Village officials in Constantine took action against the owner of a house that was declared a public nuisance this week. During their Monday meeting, council members agreed to order the tenant at a residence in the 400 block of White Pigeon Street to evacuate the premises due to cockroach infestation and other concerns relevant to the health of the occupant. …

A breaking-and-entering incident at a Centreville apartment is being investigated by the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department. According to a department news release, an apartment in the 300 block of West Main Street was entered between noon Sunday and 1 p.m. Monday.
