County budget approved by commissioners

St. Joseph County’s 2023 fiscal year budget is down a little more than 1 percent from the previous year. TR housing project awarded state funds

A residential development in Three Rivers is included in an announcement made last week by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. Whitmer announced funding to help build or improve nearly 700 affordable-housing units across 17 projects from Cheboygan to Detroit. Overall, the total development costs of projects funded is anticipated to be around $176.6 million, will create more than 60 permanent jobs and more than 1,100 temporary jobs. Snowmobile trailer stolen in Calhoun County

Michigan State Police troopers are investigating the larceny of a snowmobile trailer last week in Calhoun County’s Eckford Township. Guilty plea in murder case of Vicksburg man

A Kalamazoo County man pled guilty to second-degree murder Tuesday for the death of a Vicksburg man. WWMT-TV said Joshua Wessel allegedly killed Ronald French, 71, in June 2017 after an argument in French’s home, according to court documents.
