Abbott Nutrition plans expansion

Baby-formula manufacturer Abbott Nutrition has announced plans to expand operations at its Sturgis plant. Sturgis municipal officials recently approved a site plan for the 35,000-square-foot expansion. Abbott’s Sturgis plant is on North Centerville Road and the expansion will add to the facility’s warehouse building, a 1,060-square-foot water-treatment room and a boiler/compressor requiring in excess of 12,000-square-feet in space. Constantine taking bids for house demolition

Constantine Village Manager Mark Honeysett has been directed to take bids on demolition of the Clare Hoffman house, which is owned by the village. Located at 270 E. Health department COVID testing moved to Sturgis

The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency will be relocating its COVID-19 testing site from Centreville to Sturgis. The change in locations is effective today.
