The final of the three Adopt-A-Highway programs in 2019 will take place over the next week starting Saturday. Sponsored by the Michigan Department of Transportation, Adopt-A-Highway draws volunteers to roadsides in an effort to remove litter. Volunteers collect 65,000 to 70,000 bags of trash annually.
