A canoe and trailer were taken from a location in Mendon Township. State Police troopers said the incident occurred during the afternoon May 30 in the 27000 block of Longnecker Road. The trailer is 8-to-10 feet in length with wooden, removable sides. The canoe is 12-to-14 feet in length and is green in color.

An Illinois man is in critical condition after he nearly drowned around 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Cass County’s Penn Township. Here’s the weekly update from Michigan Department of Transportation regarding the US-131 improvement project in Three Rivers.
