The former director of Calhoun County’s Veterans Affairs office has been named in a warrant charging three counts of embezzlement. Prosecutor David Gilbert authorized the charges Wednesday morning. Seasonal weight restrictions in effect

As expected, the St. Joseph County Road Commission has begun enforcing the seasonal weight restrictions. The annual restriction took effect at 7 a.m. Tuesday. Seasonal weight restriction permits can be downloaded from the website: stjoeroads.com. The restrictions are necessary due to the potential damage to roadways because of the freeze-thaw-cycle common this time of year.
