Chainsaw stolen in Bronson Township

Michigan State Police troopers are investigating the larceny of a chainsaw. The incident occurred between noon and 6 p.m. April 28 in the 100 block of Robbins Road in Bronson Township. The victim told authorities a red and black Jonsered chainsaw was stolen from an enclosed porch area of a house.

TR’s Moag up for DeWitt superintendent position

Three Rivers Community Schools Superintendent Ron Moag is one of six candidates being considered for the same post in a Clinton County district. The 56-year-old Moag is vying for the superintendent’s position in DeWitt Public Schools. The five-building, 3,200-student district is set to interview Moag at 6 o’clock Tuesday evening. Moag is finishing his third year as Three Rivers’ superintendent.

County commission honors Centreville football team

Another accolade was bestowed upon Centreville High School’s state-championship varsity football team. A Schoolcraft couple died in a 2-car crash Friday afternoon. The victims were identified as Joel Shaffer, age 83, and his wife, Dolores Shaffer, age 84. Michigan: 54% vaccinated, including residents outside state

Michigan said late Friday that 54% of adults ages 16 and up have gotten at least one COVID-19 shot, a roughly 2.5 percentage point jump after factoring in people who were vaccinated outside the state or at federal facilities.
