Successful household hazardous waste collection

Last week’s twice-a-year collection of household hazardous waste and electronics recycling was on par with the quantity of items collected in previous years. New County Clerk sworn in

St. Joseph County’s new county clerk was sworn in earlier this week. With the September resignation of nine-year clerk Lindsay Oswald, clerk-elect Gina Everson was sworn-in by Circuit Court Judge Paul Stutesman during a brief ceremony Monday morning. Search warrant leads to arrest in Flowerfield Township

A 43-year-old St. Joseph County man was arrested after sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant last weekend in Flowerfield Township. Undersheriff Jason Bingaman said deputies served the warrant at a residence in the 15000 block of North Street after authorities investigated activity involving controlled substances.
