March’s unemployment rate in St. Joseph County was four-tenths of a percent higher than the previous month. The monthly labor-market analysis by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget showed the county’s 4.1 percent March unemployment rate marked an increase from February’s 3.7 percent. White Pigeon Community Schools Board of Education recently approved the purchase of two, 10-passenger vans at a cost of $30,000 each.
