An Indiana man suffered a head injury after he was involved in a single-vehicle accident over the weekend in Cass County’s Porter Township. debris removed in river cleanup

Volunteers supporting the St. Joseph County Conservation District recovered a sizable amount of debris from the St. Joseph River during Saturday’s cleanup. The three-plus-mile route started at Jacksonburg Road in Leonidas Township and concluded at M-66. A Burr Oak woman, wanted on an undisclosed warrant, was arrested earlier this week in Sturgis. Community Service Awards approved

The 27th annual Doyle/ Exchange Club Community Service Awards were approved recently. Grant awards included $2,000 to Sturgis Neighborhood Program for its “Lunch and Learn” initiative.
