Edwardsburg hit by tornado

The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado touched down last week near Edwardsburg. The agency said the incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. Thursday a mile west of the community at the north end of Sundance Road, just south of U.S. 12. Youngster dies in Kalamazoo

Authorities say they are investigating the death of a 4-year-old girl on her birthday. Kalamazoo police say officers responded to a home Saturday on a report that the girl wasn’t breathing. She was unresponsive and pronounced dead at the home. Police said more information will be released after an autopsy.  (AP)
