Steven Patrick Anderson, 31, of 5875 N-1120 W, Middlebury, Ind., died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, due to injuries in a house fire on Oct. 14 in Mottville Township.
He was born Nov. 3, 1978, in Elkhart, Ind., a son of Kenneth Daryl and Barbara L. (Schlee) Anderson. He had lived in the Mottville area for two weeks, coming from Middlebury.
He was employed in the trailer manufacturing industry, most recently at T&L Industries of Middlebury.
He enjoyed working on cars and was a Harley-Davidson motorcycle fan.
Surviving are his mother, Barbara L. (Dave) Wortinger of Middlebury; a sister, Kimberly L. Monroe of White Pigeon; a half-brother, Stephen P. Crow of Pataskala, Ohio; a daughter, Mackenzie Anderson, and son, William Anderson, both of Sturgis; and a grandmother, Marie Schlee of Postville, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Whole Life Christian Fellowship, Sturgis, with Pastor Ron Schultz officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
