Willa Hahn, 69

Willa Dean Hahn, age 69, of Sturgis, Michigan passed away Monday morning, July 4, 2011 at the Sturgis Hospital Emergency Room.

She was born October 11, 1941 in Sandy Hook, Kentucky a daughter of Lee and Dessie (Frailey) Conley.

Willa Dean had resided in Sturgis for the past 47 years coming from Moorhead, Kentucky.

On January 26, 1980 she married Earl Hahn in Sturgis.

She was a dedicated wife and mother and had been employed at Grumman Olson, Sunny & Sons Gas Station and Transogram in Sturgis. She also did some waitressing.

Willa was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sturgis and was a past president of the Eagles Auxiliary Lodge #1314. She enjoyed crafts, flower gardening and Facebook.

She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband, Earl, six daughters, Paula (Tim) Doenges of Colon, Vicky Barrons of Sturgis, Debra (John) Gorman of Waukee, Iowa, Laura (Marty) Barnard of Sturgis, Susan (Rodney) Taylor of Mendon and Kathy (Stephen) McPherson of Port Huron, two sons, Paul Winkleman of Three Rivers and Kevin Hahn of Colon, 24 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, her mother, Dessie Conley of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, four sisters, four brothers and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, one son, Norman Winkleman, one daughter, Brenda Winkleman, grandson, Brian Hahn, one brother and one sister.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday at the Hackman Family Funeral Homes – Hackman Chapel, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091, 269-651-2331 and from 1:00-2:00 P.M. Friday at the First Baptist Church of Sturgis where funeral services celebrating the life of Willa Dean Hahn will begin at 2:00 P.M. Friday. A graveside committal will follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
