Stolen property and guns recovered

Property and several stolen guns taken last month from a White Pigeon bait and tackle store were recovered by investigators from the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies were dispatched Saturday to a residence in the 67000 block of Blue School Road in Constantine Township regarding an unwanted subject. During the investigation, deputies located and seized items from a breaking-and-entering incident that occurred at Fisher Bait & Tackle on March 31.

The St. Joseph County Special Response Team subsequently obtained a search warrant for a residence at the Riverside Townhouses for an additional stolen gun from the break-in. Narcotics were also located and seized during the investigation.

A 21-year-old female and a 23-year-old male were arrested and charged with felony firearms, child endangerment, possession of narcotics with the intent to distribute and possession of stolen firearms. They are being held at the St. Joseph County Jail.
