Water interruptions in Constantine

Constantine residents north of Locust Street are being advised to expect interruptions in their water service throughout the day today.

Village officials said the anticipated interruption is the result of work on the water main on Broad Street, near the intersection of North Washington. The work is necessary for modifications to the road as a part of the work related to the U.S. 131 Constantine bypass.

Today’s work is scheduled to begin by 8:30 a.m. and municipal officials said there’s a good chance the water will be off for the better part of the day.

In addition, there will likely be a second day this week when water service will be interrupted on the north end. Village manager Mark Honeysett said details will be provided as far in advance as possible.
