Logan to be superintendent

Roger Rathburn’s likely replacement as superintendent of Three Rivers Community Schools is a familiar face to the district.

Jean Logan, who has served as Three Rivers High School principal since the 2010-11 academic year, was offered the district’s top post Monday.

Logan, 48, was one of two finalists. She and Gary Wood, superintendent of Mio-Au Sable Schools, were chosen as finalists from a field of six candidates who interviewed for the position last week.

Logan, whose salary as principal is $93,000 annually, is working with district officials regarding terms of her contract, including salary.

Logan spent 13 years with Constantine Public Schools before replacing Dan Ryan as Three Rivers High School principal.

To replace Logan, the district is working on posting its opening for a high school principal.
